SOS AMAZONIA EKOS COLLECTION is the first worldwide fundraising campaign for Amazon through the sale of an art collection. But, unlike a traditional fundraiser, acquiring some piece from SOS AMAZONIA EKOS COLLECTION, in addition to playing the key role of supporting SOS Amazon, as a way of thanks, you will receive a high-value item in return, which is the NFT (Non-Fungible Token) of exclusive and limited digital artwork of a historical worldwide campaign, along with an exclusive physical digital frame (Gold Edition and Full Packages). SOS Amazônia Org, founded in 1988 by Chico Mendes, is one of the most respected and active non-governmental Amazonian organizations.
SOS AMAZONIA EKOS COLLECTION is a historic artwork collection inspired in the largest leaf in the world, from the rare tree Coccoloba Inpae Gigantifolia discovered in the heart of the Amazon Forest, designed and produced by the anonymous artist SlideX, with soundtrack by Carlinhos Brown and voice by Rosa Makiguza and the youngest professional producer in the world, the gifted 13-year-old Rivkah, representing the future of humanity, helping SOS Amazon Foundation to fulfill the essential global role of protecting, developing and reforesting the Amazon rainforest.
The collection consists of Gold Edition pieces, Green Edition piece and Full Packages (consisting of 1 Gold Edition + 1 Green Edition). The Green Edition pieces sold individually don’t come with a physical version, but the Gold Edition piece and the Full Packages (1 Gold + 1 Green Edition), in addition to the NFT masterpiece(s), also come with a physical versions made by a 43-inch digital frames that you can display in galleries or on your wall.

SOS AMAZÔNIA
Driven by the resistance of the guardians of the forest, on September 30th, 1988, teachers, university students and representatives of the social movement, including the activist and tapper Chico Mendes, created the SOS Amazônia Association, with the purpose to defending the extractive cause and protecting the Forest Amazon.
In a scenario of conflicts over land occupation that culminated in the brutal murder of Chico Mendes (the greatest fighter for environmental preservation in the Amazon), the organization dedicated itself to exhibiting data and photos of deforestation in the region in a public square, distributing informational materials, denouncing the threats suffered by rubber tappers and dialoguing with the population about the matter in order to mobilize society and facilitate understanding of the causes and consequences of the destruction that was taking place.
Given the delicate moment experienced by extractivists, in addition to awareness campaigns, the institution soon needed to develop projects and propose and implement public policies focused on the dissemination of models and practices for the preservation of biodiversity and sustainable development. Initiatives that guide the duty to fulfill SOS Amazônia’s mission, which is to “Promote the conservation of biodiversity and increase Amazon environmental awareness”.
ARTWORK
SOS AMAZÔNIA EKOS COLLECTION is a historic landmark aligning art and technology in a worldwide act. Collection buyers will have their names marked on the piece to be send to the United Nations and engraved on a biodegradable board next to the Coccoloba Gigantifolia seed that will be planted in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
Coccoloba Inpae Gigantifolia is a rarest tree with the largest leaf in the world, discovered in the Amazon Forest by the National Institute for Amazon Research biologist Cid Ferreira. In addition to natural photosynthesis, the Coccoloba Inpae Gigantifolia leaf produce a rare photosynthesis chemion phenomenon, allowing them to store energy not only during the day, but also at night, in the absence of light.
